The Ethiopian Community in The hague!
The Ethiopian Association in The Hague is a nonprofit making, nongovernmental civil society organization for Ethiopian refugees, asylum seekers & immigrants Of Ethiopian origin who reside in The Hague and surrounding.
The community initially established in 1992 by a group of asylum seekers who felt isolated within the New Host community and the circumstances they faced .This opportunity of meeting with fellow country men and women created the possibility to organize different activities for members and non members and developed to be registered under the Dutch law since June 1997 in The Hague.
The Ethiopian Association in The Hague is a community for all those who need to participate and grasp the possibility The Association offers.
The Ethiopian association since its inception has been a home for every Ethiopian despite its various difference with each individual on his/her personal belief or belongingness to any religious, political affiliation or ethnic origin .
The Association in The Hague promotes mainly social cultural events which lead to bring every Ethiopian and family of Ethiopian together by facilitating a club house ,sport, children activities , information and discussion on various vital subjects such as Human rights ,international development, Health issue, women empowerment and integration with the host society.
The Association supported by the Hague city council, The Hague Health and social services.
The Ethiopian Association in The Hague works closely with various Ethiopian organizations and similar refugee communities and institutions.
